This super-easy and very basic salad dressing can be made in a jiffy. Play around with the herbs until you find your favourite.  Make it double and store some in the fridge for the next day.

Salad Dressing

3 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/4 tsp mustard
1 tsp honey/sugar
1 tsp dried basil/oreganum/parsley
1 tsp dried garlic flakes (optional)
6 tbsp olive oil
sea salt to taste
black pepper, freshly ground to taste

Combine vinegar, mustard, honey, dried herbs and garlic in a small jug.  Whisk in the olive oil with a small wire whisk or a fork untill well blended.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve on your favourite salad or steamed vegetables.
